Duplicate Database Entry Error Message

I've read a similar post on this subject where it was suggested that you can
either modify the code in the DRW or create your own .asp coded page. All I
want is for our customers to see a message informing them that their
registration details are already entered into our database now go to login;
and not the standard Microsoft -2147217900 Error. I am not confident enough
to write my own VB code for the whole database interaction so can someone
suggest how I modify the DRW code? I am using FrontPage 2002. Everything else
works fine.
