Hello,
I use FP 2000 to work on sites. Will I get errors when publishing to a
server with FP2003 installed?
Thanks,
Dave

FP 2003 should not be installed on a server for any reason.
You may be referring to FP server extensions. What version on the host
server?

I use front page 2000.....i am publishing my site to different intranet
servers....2 of them use Windows 2000 server. Both have purchased fp2003,
should that not be on the server? I give them a password protected site to
open my web using their FP 2003 to publish to back to their server. About
the extensions....does it matter if they have 2003 server extensions? Or must
they have 2000 server extentions...perhaps I need to upgrade to fp2003.
Thanks

FP 2003 should not be installed on the server, it serves no purpose.

FP server extensions installed on the host server is another story.

There are no FP 2003 server extensions. FP 2002 extensions are the latest
and final extensions.

Windows 2000 server can have FP 2000 extensions installed, or FP 2002
extensions installed. Depending on what the host has chosen to do.

When you open the remote site in FP, you are doing it from *your* version of
FP, not theirs.

Thanks,
I use 2000 and publishing to their server, I believe they have 2002
extensions. The reason of the post is that I have had numerous problems
publishing. It does not seem to publish over the entire site. For example,
I can do certain functions on my site, but not on theirs. On theirs I get an
error.
Thanks again

You are not providing enough information.

What certain functions?

What errors?

Please be specific...

Specifically,
On the internet version, the site when I add a form to an access database
works perfectly.

When I publish that site to a server my client has, the same form does not
work. It gets an error on the where clause.

It another case it does not seem to publish completely. One example is that
i changed a field name to mYear, published the site and i received an error.
That field was still year. I went back and double checked the original site
published from....it was correct. This has happened numerous times. Almost
like a ghost. When this happened today, went on my customers site, and
opened it in front page where the error occured. I tried some
response.write("debug") that would not show up. I know that the servers
they own have a mirror program to duplicate all input, cannot figure this one
out.

Those are ASP / DB connection related errors you are talking about (not FP SE issues)
Did you check your DB connection in FP (Tools Site Settings Database)
