I have this problem when I try publishing the disc based web to the URL of
the server and it keep prompting me for the User and password. I used the
same password as the Microsoft sharepoint administrator in the control panel
to access the server extension but cannot. Any idea where the User and
password option can be set in the publishing part in the frontpage. I
couldn’t extend the virtual server because of this problem and the forum
cannot work. Please help me as I am at wits end. Thank you
