How do I use shared borders in frontpage 2003?

| Using FP 2003, I am trying to make a simple website, approx 5 pages. My
instruction literature indicates that the best way to create and manage links
is to use shared borders. I have lots of difficulties to understand the
"how to" and cannot get past a certain point in the instructions. Can anyone
please help or is there a simpler way? Sincere thanks if you can help me,
please.

| The simplest way is to just use the New Web wizard
- File New Site and select one of the wizard templates (like Personal Site)
Otherwise see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/t...1832701033.aspx
PS
In FP 2003 shared borders are deprecated in favor of the newer Dynamic Web Templates
