Can't open local FP Extention Web

| Hi, my localhost FP Extention web suddenly gave "An error occurred accessing
your FrontPage web files. authors - if authoring against a web server,
please contact the webmaster for this server's site. Webmasters - please see
the server's system log for more details." when I tried to pen it with
FP2002.
BTW, my localhost IIS works OK as I can browse my local web pages.
What and where is this "server's system log"?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I need some information from ur side.
1. What frontpage versions u r using...?
2. What O/s u r using...?
3. What IIS u r using...?
Most important, what is the extension of the files u r using....

| The sysstem logs can be found (in Windows XP Pro, and may apply to other
OSs)
Start->Control-Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer
Look through the Application and System logs
Logs are also (usually - depends on IIS configuration) found at
C:\Windows\system32\logfiles\HTTPERR
and C:\Windows\system32\logfiles\W3SVC1

| Problem resolved by upgrading to FrontPage Server Extension 2002.
