Hi, I have SBS 2003 with extensions and I have my home page working with
FrontPage 2003. However I need a couple subfolders to work like they were
file-based. That is, I would like my home page to be FrontPage 2003 , but I
also need be able to support people uploading galleries of images using FTP
without having to make shares for every folder we upload.
For example, someone uses a webpage gallery wizard to generate html and
thumbnails and they want to ftp the folder as a subfolder of my FP web. It
works like this: Home page is at www.mydomain.com and is pretty basic, all
files in a folder called c:\http. At www.mydomain.com\gallery05 are folders
of image galleries, such as www.mydomain.com\gallery05\july4, and/or
www.mydomain.com\gallery05\halloween, etc. These are found on the hard
drive at c:\http\gallery05. In the past, on my old Win2000 non-FP server,
as long as I was sharing the gallery05 folder using the share as web
command, I could upload my galleries via FTP and would never need to create
a share for every single folder, as long as gallery05 was shared.
Can anyone help me? Does this make sense?
Thanks!
