i want to know how to add a download feature in my front page so that visitor
can download a bunch of files from my site

Import the files you wish to have downloadable into your web site, and
create links to them.
If the files are images, .pdf, .exe, .doc or any other extension that
IE may "know" about, then zip the files, and link to the zips.
