I use FrontPage 2003 for my two websites; one is on a Unix Server and I have
no problem posting updates. The other is on a Windows NT Server and I have
not been able to post updates for several weeks. In addition my Navigations
Bars and Buttons do not appear and visitors are not able to browse through
our site.

When I try to publish and the dialog box appears I correctly enter my User
Name and my correct password. When I click the OK button after a second or
two the dialog box reappears . . . this time in the User Name field, it shows
dove-wa.org\ (and my correct User Name). Occasionally I get an error message
that identifies one of four possible problems:
1. The web server may not have FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
2. The web server may be temporarily out of service.
3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy settings may be
incorrect.
4. An error may have occurred in the web server.

Items 2, 3, and 4 are known not to be a problem and that leaves Number 1 as
the probable cause. However, my ISP says that they do have the FP Extensions
installed. Whatever the problems are, it seems to me that when FP returns the
User Name field with dove-wa.org\ (and my correct User Name) since the
dove-wa.org is my domain name, it is not part of my user ID and therefore
will not publish updates and that it also denies me the opportunity to even
log on to the page through FP 2003 returning the same incorrect User Name
Field mentioned above.

It also seems very strange that my navigation buttons do not appear. It just
seems that the problem has to be on my ISP’s end.

Any comments, suggestions, or help will be deeply appreciated.

Have you host run a server health check or re-installed the extensions and/or check the permissions
/ user account, etc.?

Thank you, I'll pass it on to my ISP.
