| I build websites with FrontPage on my computer equipped with XP Pro and IIS
5.1, then I publish them to the web.
Here's the original scenario--when I had FPSE 2000 installed, I could use
any computer on my home network to access the FP webs on the computer where
they reside via http://[computername]/[website]. Whether I opened the website
in FrontPage for editing or just browsed there in a browser, it would open
just fine.
HOWEVER, after installing FPSE 2002, I can only access the webs on the
actual computer they reside on. When I try to open the FP web in a browser
from another computer (via http://[computername]/[website]), I get this error:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be
experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And when I try to open it in FrontPage, I get this error:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The folder 'http://[computername]/[website]' isn't accessible. The folder
may be located inan unavailable location, protected with a password, or the
filename contains a / or \.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What changed? How can I get the same access as before? Any direction,
pointer or help would be appreciated...
Thanks!
