When this occurs I lose the link titles on theme pages.
Any idea what may be causeing this?

There are several possible reasons for this, ranging from the server
extensions being corrupted to the server being overloaded. The exact cause
may be recorded in the server logs.

Check the server extensions (ask your host).

If you have a large site, divide it into subwebs, and publish each subweb
separately. This will reduce the load when publishing.

Also do some clean up on your PC -

With FrontPage closed,

Find and delete all *.web files, usually located in
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

Find and delete all FrontPage Temp files, usually located in
FP2003 - %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\FrontPageTempDir
Other versions: look in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local
Settings\Temp
