Author Problem modifying Sharepoint portal pages with FrontPage 2003

When I try to open the Sharepoint page (which is being hosted remotely - not
by us) I receive the a Soap:Server Exception of Type...." error (the error is
a known problem, and is documented as #830342 here

article about the error (see link above) but I'm not entirely sure how to
check to see which of the three scenarios they present might be my problem.

I have full administrative access to the system, but I am VERY new to
Sharepoint. Can someone please help?
