Search component problem

| Hello folks
I am publishing a FrontPage 2000 web with a Search component. I have
FrontPage extensions ver 5.0.2.2623 installed on my local IIS and the Search
component works fine.
But when I try to publish the same web to my host server which also runs
5.0.2.2623 the following error message is returned in the Search results...
The text source "default" does not exist in "http://mydomain".
I have followed Q205710 methods 1 + 2 without success
In this article the /_vti_txt (method 2 refers to) does not exist on my host
server!
Any help would be much appreciated

You really should have followed method 2:
"Method 3: Create a Catalog File using Index Server
Set up Index Server with a catalog for the virtual server. For
additional information, click the article number below to view the
article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
183731 How to Index and Create a Catalog for a New Web Site "
Call your host and tell them to make a catalog for your site.

| Thank you for your response:

Yes, but it is a standard feature of any Microsoft server since Win2000
server, and perhaps before, and it is included in all WinXP
workstations, and perhaps some earlier ones.
