Front Page Extensions
|
|
|
| Long ago... (4 computers) I had Personal Web server with Front Page 97. I now
have FrontPage 2003 and cannot get my protected subweb with forms to work on
my machine since the front page extensions are not present. I have tried to
contact Microsoft, with no luck. Is there a FrontPage Personal Web Server for
2003, or am I relegated to edit my website on the remote server forever???
I have found no reference to a personal web server on theinstallation CD or
the help files.

| My OS is Xp Pro, last week my mate setup my PC to host my site.
from reading volumes of garb I think the Server to which you refer is one of
the Windows Components which need to be activated in Add/remove progs. All to
do with the IIS setup. My server is Windows 2k
Hope this helps (don't be suprised if it is nothing to do with your post) if
so sorry.

| Tom,
I followed the instructions as given and still get the message that I need
to run the page on a server running the extensions. My IIS installation does
not seem to be working or recognized by Front Page. Shoud I re-install Front
Page again???

| Tom,
Another problem I am having is that when I try to extend the server, I get
the "You are not authorized..." message. I am the only user and the
administrator of this computer. This is getting worse by the minute...
