| I'm running my website on a Unix server with FP extensions installed. I
definitely AM NOT running on a Windows server.
However, when trying to point to a mysql database table, the SITE
SETTINGS>DATABASE tab says:
"The options on this tab are unavailable because the active Web site is
based on Windows SharePoint Services. To access database features designed
specifically for Web sites based on Windows SharePoint Services, open the
Data menu."
Of course, when I open the Data menu, all options are disabled.
I don't have access to the web hosts settings, but is there something I can
change on my end to enable database capability?
Thanks,
Pam

| Pam,
Unfortunately no. The database functionality of FP depends upon
Active Server Pages, which is part of IIS for the Windows platform. UNIX
does not have this functionality so FP automatically disables it.
Hope this helps,

| Somehow, I seem to remember that now. Darn it.
Thanks,
Pam
