I am not sure I am posting this in the right place. I
get the following
Error when I try to move page to Navigation View (drag &
drop an already created page to the Navigation View).
------------------------------------------------------
An error occurred accessing your FrontPage Web files.
Authors-if authoring
against a Web server please contact the Web Master for
this server site.
Webmasters-please see the servers system log for more
details."

When I contacted my IP I was told that I needed to find
this error at the FrontPage Help Site so I could tell
them what it means and they could fix the problem. I have
searched the knowledge base and the News Groups but I was
unable to find this error in connection with my problem.
I did find an article that said I might get more
information about the problem in a log. The log file is
named Author.log in the _vti_log directory of a Web site.
I looked in the directory the _vti_log via FTP that was
on my server site. I could see no files in this log at
all. If anyone could help me with this problem I would
greatly appreciate it.

Ps I also have some forms that stopped functioning
properly about the same time I started to get this error.
They were simple forms that went to a Thank You page but
the Thank You page was no longer accessed properly and
the user would get an error. When I left the box blank
where the thank you page had been listed it seemed to
work at least when the user finished the form they were
taken to a confirmation page.

Thank Judy lynn

Hi Judy,

Looks like permissions issue. The navigation structure is stored in
_vti_pvt\structure.cnf file. If its FPSE and if possible the ISP could do a
Check Server Health to reset the permissions on the site as per the
configuration. [NOTE: This will reset permissions that would have been
manually set on the NTFS partition].

The author logging is done only if it is enabled in the FPSE admin console.

Regards,
Vijay

Since you did not include the post you were replying to, I have no idea what
the error is or why you want us to look at that site.
