I have Front Page 2003. According to the Event Viewer log it is "Microsoft
FrontPage 2000 version 4.0.2.7523". I have Windows XP Pro version 5.1 Build
2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 Service Pack 2. This operating system was
loaded on a laptop I purchased from Toshiba in late November 2004. I am
getting an error when I try to run an html page created with Front Page:
"error #150001 Message: The server administration programs and the server
extensions on the web server are not compatible. The administration program
is too old to use with this server." I am unable to use the events.asp URL
posted in the event log to troubleshoot this issue. I am unable to find
anything in the KnowledgeBase for FrontPage when I type in the keyword
"150001".

I downloaded Server Extensions 2002, which was supposed to work with this
version of FrontPage. I am trying to troubleshoot this so I can turn over the
administration of a web site I am creating to relative novices. I can write
the html myself to generate a drop-down list rather than use a component
which requires the Server Extensions, but I need to make this as easy as
possible for the people who are going to take this over.

I assume I need a patch for XP. Please let me know where to get it.

Thanks,

Dorothy Rifai

To administer the 2002 Extensions use (from Windows Control Panel)
Administrative Tools->Microsoft Sharepoint Administrator

The Server Extensions Administrator is for FP2000 extensions.
