How do I use .htaccess in Frontpage?

| I would like to use a .htaccess file in Microsoft Frontpage.
I used a website to help me to create the .htaccess file. It told me to
create a file called htacces.txt, upload it, THEN rename it to .htaccess.
Whenever I rename it, Frontpage just changes it back to htaccess.txt.
Is there any way to use it?

| If your site has FP extensions and the .htaccess file is going into
your root folder - DO NOT DO IT! This may kill your web site.
FrontPage uses .htaccess files for its own purposes. These may be
edited (carefully) but must not be overwritten.
You may have to use an FTP application to upload and rename the file,
FrontPage will not allow you to do so.

| To rename a file with a "non standard" file name, use notepad, select Save As and then
enter ".htaccess"
with the quotes.
