SP1 - ok?

2005-04-05, 2:47 am

running 2003 standard server with IIS6 and 2002
extensions that are on CD. URL Scanner is running as
well.

Checking to see if anyone has had any issues with 2003
server. FPSE 2002 and SP1?

Thanks

Win2003 SP1? Then yes - Frequent instances of problems with FrontPage
saving pages. Shortened error message: "Problem accessing Sharepoint
services - see server application event viewer for details." There
are no entries in any logs, or any event viewer.

Do you have any info as to what these problems are? Any
postings/web addresses? Microsoft know of these issues?
Fixes? Looking at a deployment schedule. I am testing now
but want to hear more reports if people are having issues
with installing Service Pack 1 on 2003 server running
2002 Front Page Extensions.

Thanks.

I just built a new server. Installed 2003 Web Edition and then applied SP1. I am have problems publishing to the site. Same
error are Ron reported. I have not been able to publish any of 6 sites to the server.

Did not try before putting SP1 on, but I have been doing publishes to other 2003 servers with not problems.

We just recently installed SP1 on one of our FP2002 servers and now cannot access any sites that are operated using Host Headers. Is this the same problem that everyone else is having?

I have found that sites that use their own IP, not host headers, work perfectly fine. If I add a host header to them, it breaks the ability for me to administer the FP site. (via 'check server extentions 2002' on the IIS site manager)

Trying to see if there is a pattern here..

Thanks,
-Matt
