Virtual directories vs. FPSE 98

| Do anyone know if there is a limit in Frontpage Server Extension 98 (FPSE) so that a client cannot see the virtual directories ?
Due to problems seeing virtual directories from a Frontpage client 2002 (FP). I proberly have to upgrade to a newer version of FPSE.
If the solution is to upgrade to a never version of FPSE - I have some questions:
a.. Could you advise us on the possibilities and alternatives of upgrading our FPSE on IIS4 (Windows NT).
b.. Is it right that FPSE do not allow publishing with FP2003.
c.. We need to be able to publish with FP98, FP2000, FP2002 and FP2003 clients. Which FPSE version should I install on a IIS4.
d.. How difficult is it to upgrade the FPSE etc. regarding permissions.

| What is it you are trying to do, have separate websites? If so you can create subwebs.

the virtual directory must be maintained by Frontpage Client. If it is not
possible to maintain a virtual directory by Frontpage Client I might create
the virtual directory in other way - But I just dont know how - Maybe as an
seperate website ??

d:\inetpub\wwwroot\site1
Website2 This website is using files in the Databases folder
d:\inetpub\wwwroot\site2
Databases (Virtual folder) Databasefiles used for Website1 and
Website2 d:\db

| Use a actual database, like Access and then store the database outside to the web space (can be
anywhere on the server HD) and use a System DSN to connect to it.
You can still use virtual directories, just that FP will not see them, you can manually type your
links to the page within them.
