| I was having a problem with my SharePoint services on my Windows 2003 Small Business Server box. I uninstalled SharePoint, and also had to uninstall the FrontPage Server Extensions 2002. I reinstalled both and everything was corrected with SharePoint.....however, now I am having problems with other areas of the website. If you click on any of the links within Server Management (ie Backup, Monitoring and Reporting) that deliver HTML content, I get a 404 Page Not Found error. There is a virtual directory called Backup under the Default Web Site that appears to be the location for it, however it's somehow missing this. I feel that there is something wrong with my FPSE2002 setup, because I am not even presented with an option to "Configure Server Extensions" when I click on the web site and select All Tasks. I am given this option when I click on any other web site other than the Default Web Site. When I click another site and select Configure Server Extensions, I can then go to Administration and view the Virtual Servers. It actually shows my Default Web Site under there as Default Web Site http://server01 6.0.2.6361 but when I click on Default Web Site, I get another 404 error.
I have a feeling that even though I uninstalled Front Page Extensions and re-installed, that it kept some of the old stuff around and now that's what is preventing me from configuring the site properly. I'm also guessing that in order for my virtual directories to function properly, I need to get FPSE2002 setup properly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
