This is how the user describes the problem to me... any ideas?

Connected. No password problems. Issued instruction to publish changed pages
only. "Publishing..." appeared on my FrontPage status bar.
"Listing pages" appeared on my status bar. My computer was busy & the
hourglass wait symbol was displayed with my pointer (all normal).
"Retreiving...from localhost..." appeared on my status bar. Wait symbol
remains. (all normal)
The progress box showing how many files to be transferred and how many
transfered so far came up very briefly. I was lucky to see it. But it has
determined how many files were new. "Uploading pages..." had appeared on my
status bar.
Then came the following error message: "There was an error during the
transfer of files. The error message from the remote machine was:
_private: The system cannot find the file specified
I was forced to click the error message OK button
The Microsoft Web Publishing Wizzard appeared for the first time & asked my
password for user (username omitted). I typed it in. The Wizzard went away.
The same error message reappeared: "There was an error during the
transfer..."
