Typically we can look at the version on a .dll file. I think I am running
version 5 because I have this path:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\50\isapi\_vti_adm
on my XP Pro desktop

Note the "50". But when I look at the version of ADMIN.DLL I get
10.0.2623.0

Why does version 5 have a file version of 10+
When I look at :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&displayLang=en

it says I need 5.0.2.4803 which includes a security update.

50 (5.0) means 2002 SE
The builds are numbered differently starting w/ a 10. and ending w/ the build # XXXX.x, but they are referring to the 5.0 versions

Get the update SP for 4803 at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...fpse2002win.asp
