Publish with Frontpage98 to host using Frontpage2002 Server Extent
|

| Using WindowsME and Frontpage98, I get Server Error accessing your Frontpage
Web Files when publishing. I have no anti-virus, use index.html as homepage
and do not want to use FTP as I need the server extensions. Could the problem
that my Host - using Frontpage2002 Server Extentions - is uncompatible with
my Frontpage98? How do I solve this?

| You posted in the Windows extensions newsgroup. But, if your host is UNIX
based, FP 98 is not compatible with the FP 2002 extensions on a UNIX server.
You'll need to tell us if your host is UNIX or Windows.

| If your server is running on Unix, the latest FP2002 Unix server
extensions are not compatible with FrontPage98.
Your options are:
1) Upgrade to FrontPage 2000 or 2002
2) Uninstall PWS, Upgrade WinME to Win XP, then Upgrade FP98 to
FP2003
3) Move to a Windows Server - may require a change of host
4) Downgrade the extensions to FP2000
IMO, 3) is probably the easiest, 2) is the best.
