I've been happily using FrontPage for a few years to manage a football club
website that I run. I have made no changes to my PC configuration at all
recently, but this week I'm unable to start FrontPage because I keep getting
the above error which reads:

"FrontPage personal web server is not able to use port 80. There may already
be another web server running"

Can anyone help get me out of this problem, as I have some time-critical
updates that I need to add to my website today!

What did you install / activate that has captured Port 80?
- Yahoo messenger is a candidate that does that

Stefan,

I haven't installed anything (apart from a new external CD drive via USB)
that should have changed port 80. Is there an easy way of finding out what
application is currently using the port?

Thanks

Steve

CD drive normally shouldn't have any effect
Look at task manager or get Active Ports from http://www.protect-me.com/freeware.html
