too old to use with this server

| The server administration programs and the server extensions on the web
server are not compatible. The administration program is too old to use with
this server.
Ok I give up, tried what I can think of, what susggestions I've been able to
find so far. Nothing, nada, zip. If anyone has any suggestions on where to
look, how to resolve, it would be greatly appreciated.
I think it's with Frontpage 2003 [Office 2003] / Sharepoint thing. Running
with WinXP SP2 & IIS 5.1
Thanks

| The server administration program and the server extensions on the Web
server are not compatible. The server is too old to use with this
administration program:
Try this: Start | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Microsoft
SharePoint Administrator
It brings up a web based FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 Server
Administration page.

| I think I'm getting closer, just not all the way there yet. Loaded all the
updates & everything else related I think, the admin tool pulls up, sees my
default website, but when I try to open it, it chokes, gets a 500 error on
http://tcore1:80/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/...ge=webadmin.htm -- I
tracked down the files in the line & copied them to the _vti_bin/_vti_adm
folder & now it pulls back -- Unknown operation: "" -- that's all, blank page
with that in the body.
When I check server extenisions under all task, it say no problems. Stopping
& starting the service was of no help, just trying to make sure I touch all
the bases.
Again anything else you can toss my way would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
