Author "Reset" v. Repair FPSE

I have been asked to reset the FPSE on our server (Win2K AdvServer, IIS5,
FPSE 5.0.2.4330) because FP Clients (FP2002) get an agonizingly long delay
when they try to Save As, Insert Hyperlink, or Insert Picture.

Clients are opening site directly from the server on their desktop
(Win2K/XPPro), prompted to login with local accounts (servername\username)
via Windows Authentication.

File - OpenWeb - http:// IP Address - Username/password

Save As, Insert Picture, or Insert Hyperlink causes up to a 3 minute delay
over a T1 that responds normally to any of the other sites on this server
from same clients. IIS Settings are consistent across all sites, as are
Firewall & VPN settings. Check Server Health from FPAdmin (HTML) returns no
problems found.

Next option is to select REPAIR from the setup menu of fpse02_x86_ENG.exe

Is this the same as resetting FPSE? Is this best plan of action? are there
other variables to consider?

The REPAIR selection required a system restart on a similar test server...
is this consistent? Will I lose any subweb/user role/account access
information?

Thanks.
