Hi
I am trying to backup MSDE database and am getting the following error.

At first owsadm.exe did not work at all. So we installed FP extensions and
then running the same command gives us this error.
The server administration programs and the server extensions on the Web
server are not compatible. The server is too old to use with this
administration program. Please consult the section in the Administration
Guide on Migrating and Updating Web Sites for more information

This "http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=319476" does not work.

Being a server, its not viable to install any office suite.

Also interesting to note that I am not able to extend existing site, but am
able to extend the Sharepoint Central Administrator site and then go to
administration section.
What have we missed?

thanks for your time.

Hi -

Do you have a lock on any of the programs that you are running? It sounds
like you might have a server lock or an upload blocker of some sort. Have you
gotten any updates for you programs that may have changed the original paths
or settings?
Just an idea.
