Configuring Front Page Server extensions 2002 on Windows server 20
|
|
|
| Hi:
I have a Windows Server 2003 Web Server with Frontpage 2002 server
extensions installed. I am having problem with a website that uses frontpage
2002 extensions.
Problems:
1. While publishing to the webserver from Front page software, it gives and
error saying the pages will not work since the server does not have front
page extensions configured. I dont know why it does not detect the front page
extensions that are already installed on the web server.
2. After publishing to the webserver, the forms dont work. Same error
message as above.
3. When I right click on the website in IIS and click on check front page
extensions 2002, I get a login box for username and pw. I tried administrator
and password for administrator. It does not work. Also I cannot recalculate
web on this site. It asks for password.
Any help is greatly appreicated. Please give me some suggestions. I dont
know what steps I am missing.
Thanks

I have had this same problem. I re-installed fronpage extensions twice
and it still didnt correct it. Is in a .htm file you are using for your
form?
If it is, try changing the file extension to .asp. I know .asp is
supposed to be dead, but it is still used, and this option worked for
me.
