I am confused with the configuration of permissions for a Directory on my web
site - Intranet.
Normally, the Directory files are viewable by anonymous user.
The search function returns correct results with this configuration.

However I only want domain admins to see the contents of the directory.

How do I cjhange the permissions on this directory so that
1. Only domain admins can view/modify files
2. Anonymous users cannot see the files at all
3. The search function also works for the content of this directory with the
modified config.

I am confused by the number of combinations of permissions that exist.
I mean Web/NTFS/Frontpage ?

Is there an explanation as to how ALL this works ?

Hi,

If you want to hide some folders you should run the Permissions Wizard
[Right Click on the folder you want under IIS control panel], then set the
folder you selected to Secure Website. The selected folders that you changed
now will only be visible to the users you want under the Directory Security
that is on the properties of your site.
