my extension settings to Front Page 2000 extensions, as my web site is UNIX
and apparantley this is why im having problems publishing. Please can

The web host should install and configure them or provide you a control panel to install them, but
then they should be pre-configured, as well.

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services:
http://support.microsoft.com
If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

The web host has installed them and i have set it up via the control panel on
numerous occasions but I am unable to publish the site using FrontPage
services (i get the message 'your web server does not support FP
extensions'), I have only been able to FTP it. The host is saying FP 2003
causes problems with a unix server and that I need to go into my options in
Front Page and re-configure the extensions in my front page to 2000
extensions - how do I do this?

There is nothing to configure. FP2003 will use whatever extensions
are available. If there are only FP2000 extensions in use, then do
not use any components that require the FP2002 extensions (FP2003
extensions do not exist.)
See http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;EN-US;281532 for
a list of components affected.

A link to your site will enable us to check whether the extensions
have not been installed properly.

Your site appears to have FP2002 extensions installed and working: I
get a prompt for userid and password when opening the site in
FrontPage.
