I am having problems publishing through FrontPage.

| I'll explain this as quickly as I can. When trying to publish with FrontPage
2003, I enter the information on the 'Remote Website Properties' box and then
the user name and password box appears. In the left-hand corner of this box,
is the name of another domain that I own. I put in the user name and password
that corresponds with the site that I am trying to publish, but it will not
access it. I then receive an error that says:
Unable to open 'http://motorcityballoonatics.com'. Possible causes:
1. The web server may not have the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
2. The web server may be temporarily out of service.
3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy settings may be
incorrect (I have to admit that I have no idea what this means.) 4. An error
may have occurred in the web server.
Thanks for all your help, I'm really in a bind here. I am losing customers
because my sites have the wrong phone numbers.

| You site has the FP SE, so try just opening the online site using
File Open Site and entering the url as http://motorcityballoonatics.com/
or browsing to it in IE and using File Edit w/ FP
- then reverse publish

| Try "reverse" publishing
Then select the link to open your remote site and try publishing again

| I also had this problem so, I contacted my webserver for support and they
advised that it was a FrontPage error. My webserver took me through a lot of
steps to see what was causing this issue since I opened a web browser and
typed it ftp://yoursite.com to see if it would open and it did so the
webserver told me it was a FrontPage issue since I was able to open it.
Second, I uninstalled all the Office Products I have with Office XP,
reinstalled applied all the undates and it works except for one little
problem that I can seem to figure out yet. I published my website on
9/16/2005 but, at the bottom of my website it still say last updated on
9/15/2005. I also did a search in the Search bar on the website to see if it
published and it did not publish everything. It deleted the images but, it
still shows the page of those images the Search box on site. I cleared cache,
refreshed still nothing. The only way to fix this is to edit right from the
server, then the pages will update.

| Thank you Linda. I have contacted them and they gave me assistance. They
cleared my old extensions from my webspace for me and everything is working
fine now. I have been able to update. I wish that you hadn't have had to go
through all that uninstalling and re-installing, as I know that it can be a
pain sometimes. Good luck!

| Stephanie,
I am having the same problem! I upgraded to FP 2003 on 1/4/2006. I updated
my website successfully (almost on a daily basis) until 2/14 - then I started
to get the errors you are getting. I uninstaled & reinstalled FP to no
avail. Have you been able to fix this? If so - how?
Thanks!
Audrey
