Need help - Front Page Server Extensions
|
|
| Lee Fenney 2006-03-04, 5:49 pm |
| I'm running Win2003 Web Edition. In IIS I do not see the Front Page Server
Extension under All Task. I keep getting the error "The administration
program is too old to use with this server." I think maybe I need the Front
Page Server Extension 2003 but can not find them. I all have an sub folder
under my default site that has and old FP site and this may be part of the
problem but not sure.
Please help.

| Lee: There are no FP 2003 extensions. Win2003 uses FP 2002 extensions,
which are part of the O/S, and need to be installed from the cd.
Try this: Start | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Microsoft
SharePoint Administrator
It brings up a web based FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 Server
Administration page.

| Ok that helped. But now when I run the Check Web on my XP computer running
the server extensions I get the message "The server administration program
and the server extension on the web server are not compatible. The
administration program is too old to use with this server.

| Did you do an upgrade from a previous O/S to Windows 2003?
Did you try to install FP server extensions from a download instead of from
Windows 2003?
