| Hi
I do hope that one of the experts casn answer some of these questions
I need to learn how to develop a web site which is powered with ASP.NET 2.0.
I want to use FP2003 as my HTML/graphical tool and Visual Studio Express
2005 (Visual Web Developer Express), as the programming tool.
I am using Windows XP SP2 with the integrated version of IIS5.1.
I installed the Frontpage Server Extensions 2002 (Version 5.0.2.4803) to try
to pair with the server extensions on the host server.
When I attempt to create a Visual Studio project on my local web server
(http://myhost) I get the message
"Unable to create the Web http://mhost/NewWeb Visual Web Developer does not
support creating web sites on SharePoint servers"
I was not aware that FP2002 server extensions V5 was a SharePoint server?
What are my options to work around this?
Can I stop or uninstall Sharepoint Services this version of the server
extensions?
Do I need to uninstall FP2002 server extensions and roll back to FP2000
extensions?
Should I create a disk web and work between FrontPage 2003 and Visual Studio
2005 - and what limitations would that impose (e.g. on publication of the
web to the real server).
Many thanks
Rodger
