Hello,
I'm looking for some information/resources on FPSE user management for a web
in version 2002. I'm aware of roles.ini, but also want to understand the
internal operations done by FPSE 2002 during add/delete user commands.
Q1) Is roles.ini the only place where FPSE 2002 stores user information of a
website, or it maintains it somewhere else as well?
Q2) i've extended a website over FPSE 2002, roles.ini is created containing
user and roles information. Access from FrontPage to the website is fine with
the user credentials having Adv Author. Now if i remove this user from
roles.ini (manually editing the file), i'm still able to access the website
from FrontPage with the same credentials. Please note: after removing the
user manually from roles.ini, no Recalculate Web or Check Server Health was
done. Niether NTFS ACLs were modified. Can somebody shed some light on this
behavior? I know i have done something wrong, but i would like to understand
it at a deeper level.

Thanks in advance.
~TJ
