Some sort of permissions problem with IIS 6 / Front Page 2002 Extensions
|
|
|
| I am encountering an error that appears to involve the Front Page 2002
Extensions used for websites.
When I created a directory, I set it up for web share access, configured a
website on IIS 6, pointing to the directory, added server extensions as I
have in the past. In this case, when I attempt to check server extensions I
get
the following error:
Content Folder "my folder name" must have permissions that allow reading and
writing files in the folder.
I have repeatedly checked my permissions, and tried to ensure they were
identical with the working site. Nothing I do makes any difference. I have
even given full control for all including anonymous, but it made no
difference.
Has anyone else run into this?

| I am running into the same issue - Windows 2003 SP1/ IIS 6.0 / FPSE 2002. I can't get VSS 6.0 to manage the solution I'm trying to check into VSS. It's driving me crazy!!!

| In the past did you do this under Windows 2003 Server / IIS 6?
What happen when you just create the directory, then use IIS MMC to make it a website and then apply
the extensions, instead of make it a web share?
