On FrontPage 2003, how do I disable the FrontPage extensions?

I took over a website which uses an Apache. My webmaster told me that I need
to trun of the FrontPage extensions in order for it to work, becaseu whenever
I go to publish the file it tells me that the server does not have these
extensions.

Is there a way to disable the extensions for my site to be published?
