new server not working..completely
|
|
|
| Hi,
I have a new Windows 2003 server. I've installed the front page extensions
on it.
From the web, I can go to www.mydomain.com and I get the Under Construction
message.
However, if I'm in Front Page and I try to open http://www.mydomain.com
nothing happens.
When I'm at the server itself, logged on as the Administrator, and I try to
check the server extensions I get an error message telling me :
You are not authorized to view this page
You do not have permission to view this page using your current user
account.
Please try the following:
a.. If you have another user account with a higher level of permission,
click
your browser's Back button to try again using that account.
a.. If you believe you should be able to view this page, contact the Web
site administrator.
What am I doing wrong?

| Due to the lack of response, I'm thinking I posted this to the wrong
newsgroup. I'm going to repost it to Microsoft.public.frontpage.client
with the subject Setting Up a New Server.

| Actually, this is the appropriate newsgroup. However, I would recommend
posting in a Windows 2003 server newsgroup as well.
