Moving web pages ...
|
|
|
| I think I just violated some basic FP rule.
I moved several web pages from one partition to another on our web server.
I did not remove FPSE from each web before doing so, I think that might
have been a mistake.
Things are REALLY weird now. My permissions are all messed up, as are
some FP features. We have fixed most stuff, and can log on as admin anyway
worse case so we are not dead, but I am curious. We have had relitively
good luck with FPSE over the years BTW.
What is the correct proceedure for moving web page files ... if there is one
???
Thanks ...
John

| Thanks Tom, but I have no clue what you mean.
If you mean change the web publishing rules in ISA2004, I did that. Checked
authentication settings, etc. Removed and reextended webs, checked server
health (have to do all this from a workstaion for some reason, not the web
server, but I think this is a firewall issue).
I can get to the pages fine, some features did not fare well in the move. I
wondered what effect changing the location of the files had on the server
extensions, if any.

| You needed to publish the site(s) from one location to another via FP's Publishing command.
