| I have a new web site up on a hosting account that I have through Go
Daddy.com . The web site I created through FP2002 first published okay with
the exception of two buttons that were to submit forms to an email address.
After calling technical support several times, and installing and
re-installing FPSE, which Go Daddy claims they fully support, Go Daddy states
the problem is with FP. I was publishing through FTP, but based on comments
on this site, tried to publish last time through http. Now nothing is
showing on the site!
Also, in using the Product Support Services White Paper on File Upload
through FP, the instructions state to Create a File Upload Folder, but I
can't select the "Allow anonymous upload to this directory" and "Allow
uploaded files to overwrite existing filenames" checkboxes. Any ideas on how
to work around this? I am far from an expert in any of this, and have tried
over and over to get these forms to work!

| GoDaddy's support for email through FrontPage forms is patchy. Make sure
they have set up the email transport in the extensions. Also, verify they
allow the use of the file upload component - many hosts disable this
feature, as well as disabling the ability to change permissions on folders.
The folder permissions must be set on the (live) site you are uploading
to - not your PC. With the live site open in FrontPage, right click on the
folder, choose Properties.
Clear the box "Allow scripts to be run"
Then the Allow uploads and Overwrite file names boxes should become
available, if the Host allows it.
Using FTP may have corrupted the extensions on your site. The extensions
may need to be reinstalled.
