How to save my site on my system and access the admin to manage it

Hi,
I would like to save my sit to access the admin to manage products pages. I
do not want to Use HTTP, FTP but local. I was told that I can save my site on
my machine. I did load FrontPage extention. I Use XP Pro. Where can I go from
there?

Can any one help?
