no home page, only a list of files shows on remote site

| When I publish my website, the homepage doesn't show properly on the
internet, only a list of files.
Very frustrating! Can anybody suggest where I am going wrong?

| You need to ask your host what they require for your default page.
default.htm? default.html? index.htm? index.html? etc...
Then name your homepage accordingly.
