Author File adapter - receive question

I have 2 servers running biztalk host, and I need to pull data into
orchestration from a file adapter. The problem I am having seems to be that
I have to specify a central receive location for the adapter, since they are
on two different boxes, both are trying to reference the local path specified
in the adapter "C:\blah\". I tried making that a UNC path but nothing is
processed otu of the folder if I do that.

Is there a way this should be done? Just to reiterate I want one central
file directory that both biztalk servers will be able to pull data out of.

thanks for the help!

you are on the right path with a UNC name. Make sure the biztalk service
doing the receiving has both share permissions and NTFS file permissions to
both read and then delete the file.

There are some other threads in this discussion that you might find
interesting after you get this working. Primarily because you'll probably
see that one machine is doing more processing than the other. See "File
ADapter race condition" posted on 10/4
