I am reinstalling BizTalk 2004 on my development machine inorder to document
the process and this time around the Configuration wizard fails with an error
"The network path was not found." during the creation of the BTS host. This
was a working installation before. I ended up uninstalling, removing local
databases, security accounts and everything. This was a perfectly working
install prior to this re-configure attempt.

Here is the log fragment containing the error.

Yes, originally I tried to unconfigure with the /u option and reconfigure,
and that is when I first received this error. Since then it has occured in
each of the 4-5 reinstall/reconfigure attempts. Each time I have removed the
local databases, SQL accounts, and local account groups.

thanks,
trackley

As a troubleshooting step, on BizTalk Server:

1. Download and install WMI Administrative Tools from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...n&FamilyID=6430
F853-112
0-48DB-8CC5-F2ABDC3ED314.

2. Open WMI Tools -> WMI CIM Studio.

3. Connect to namespace as below, and use the current logon user:
ROOT\MicrosoftBizTalkServer

See if it can connect successfully or error 80070035 will appear.

Please let me know how you make out on this test,
