| If you have some documents with some promoted properties, that you what to
track. Is there a way to do this programmatical without using the HAT? And
if so, how?

| Paw,
You can use WMI to do the same tracking that HAT does. The easy way is to
use the WMI Extensions for Visual Studio (download from MS). You can then
create components with design-time support and use them in ASP.Net or
Windows Forms apps to your liking.
