| Tomas,
Thank you for your time in answering my question.
I did a test in which I shutdown my BizTalk server containing the master SSO
leaving the other server running.
I went to the BizTalk Admin Console and tried to see my receive locations
and the application just hangs. It seems that the Console was looking for the
master SSO service to DECRYPT the information (possibly contradicting your
assumption)
Now this was just a simple test. I did not try to process any message while
the BizTalk Server containing the master SSO was shutdown. I will have to run
that test tomorrow. Maybe not all functions well but the remaining server is
able to process incoming messages.
From the look of it, it seems that Microsoft's recommendation of building an
SSO cluster is the best way to eliminate this potential SINGLE POINT OF
FAILURE. I hope I'm wrong and I hope someone from the Microsoft BizTalk
Server Group answers this post.
If I'm not wrong I will have to request to make sure the BizTalk environment
is 100% failover safe.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you,
Filipe Pinto
