batch processing with BizTalk 2002

I'm using BizTalk 2002 and would like to do batch processing on a received
XML document. Pretty typical scenario, receive 1 batch doc, split it up and
send out multiple singletom docs.

I know this can be done in BTS 2004, but I don't know of a way to do it with
2002. Does anyone else know?
