I have not had a problem opening a schema, but I have had
problems when making a change to a large schema.

So, when working with schemas, the first thing I do is
turn off the auto-refresh on the schema window. There is
a blue link at the bottom of the window in VS, and after
clicking the link the xml code disappears. If I do not
turn off the auto refresh, and I open a large schema and
make a change, VS hangs.
