Hello,

Does anyone know how to achieve secure connections with adapters like
SAP?
One possible solution is applying IPSec, but i would like to use
something that could be turned off/on by the origin system. Another
problem with IPSec is the low performance and the management is a
complex task.
Instead of this solution i would like to implement security in the
application layer. But how to achieve this with all biztalk adapters?
Another question: BizTalk (out of the box) only have the S/MIME
protocol to achieve data security, and the secure web services with
https support. Is there another way, is there some others pipeline
components?

Thanks

Best regards

For this you will need to write your own pipelinecomponent that implements
your security needs.
You can then use the default pipeline if you don't want security and use a
custom pipeline if you're interested in security. And this you can do at
runtime with configuration of receive and sendports.

Thanks Danny.
I'm aware that i have to develop a new component. But that's what i'm
trying to avoid. I would like to develop a component to implement
secure pipelines, but i don't have the time ;).

Are there, or will be (in BizTalk 2004 SP1) available new pipeline
components.
I want more components...weeeeee....

Thanks for the reply.
