Hi All

We have an application that has two parts: the aspx pages on one IIS server
and the web servers that live on another IIS server and do the data access
stuff. One of our client would like to run BizTalk as well. My question has
two parts:

1. Can we 'place' our existing web services 'into' BizTalk without
modification?
2. What are the benefits of having the seb services in BizTalk over them
being on their own IIS server?

Thanks

Hi,

To be clear, you are asking whether you can have Biztalk installation on
the same machine as IIS, correct? This assumes that the databases (message
box, etc) are all on the same machine as well (single machine install).
From a functional stand point, it will work. There are definitely a couple
of advantages to seperating the biztalk + databases from the IIS (web
services resides) to different machines.

1. Security -

asp

Here's a list of sample architectures that Biztalk recommends

2. Performance

Above architectures list the topology that Biztalk recommends for optimal
performance as well.

Gary
