SSL with an Open Destination?

| Is possible to send documents using HTTP SSL (HTTPS) with an Open
Destination Port in BizTalk Server 2002? The Advanced Properties page is
not available for Open Destination Ports, and this is where you select your
Private Key to do the encryption of the session key.
It appears to be an oversight, as you shouldn't need to know every
destination beforehand and setup separate channels to do SSL. Web sites do
dynamic SSL all the time. I can't think of a way round this other than
setting up separate channels for each trading partner. Any other
suggestions?

| Hi Andrew,
Is the "Private Key" setting you refer to the "Client Certificates" drop
down menu in the advanced channel properties for a HTTPS Port?
If so, I'm pretty sure that it is not used for the SSL session key - it's
used if your web server is configured to require a certificate for
authentication....
If the web server you are sending documents to is just using plain SSL and
is not configured to authenticate clients (i.e. your biztalk server) using
certificates, you should be able to use SSL with an open message port....
